#Every Child a Writer #Every Child a Reader
At Langland Community School, we use the Talk for Writing (TfW) approach to deliver our English curriculum. The TfW approach, is a powerful tool based on the key principles of how children learn. The repetitive processes allow our children to broaden their vocabulary by internalising texts and developing their knowledge of different text types. Shared and modelled writing, imitating key writerly features of model texts, are used to teach children the craft of writing and to inspire independent application. Our cumulative long-term overview clearly maps the plot structures and text types that are taught in each year group to ensure both progression and coverage of the curriculum.
